Planemakers 1: Boeing

This book may be dated given that the Boeing 777 and 787 were first flown many years after it was published, but it is worth a read because it covers every Boeing aircraft design built and flown, along with aircraft types built under license by Boeing and several unbuilt projects such as the XB-59, Model 238, Model 401, and X-20 Dynasoar. It is worth noting that the unbuilt Boeing XB-20 heavy bomber project (company designation 316D) is included in the entry about the B-29 and B-50 along with a few other pressurized bomber projects because it was the earliest ancestor of the B-29 in having tricycle landing gear and a pressurized cabin.
