The seventies
The secret order of the regimental commander dated 3 January 1971 hinted at how the next year would unfold: "The new Leninist leadership of the party managed to lead the Communist Party and the entire society out of a deep political crisis. Right-wing and anti-socialist forces suffered a crushing defeat in all areas of social life. ... A significant success is that the correct international relationship with the USSR and other socialist countries has been restored. ...Ideological educational work must keep all members of our units in permanent political vigilance and combat alertness. We must not allow violators of our airspace to go unpunished.” And as we shall see below, extremely harsh punishments did indeed occur. The task of the regiment in the area of combat readiness was determined as follows: the battle with the enemy was to be started by the cash forces from permanent airfields, positions and positions immediately, the main forces of the regiment within 60 minutes, part of the forces within 75 minutes and the rest within 90 minutes, all this from the issuance of the relevant order. These standards were in force until the end of 1989. This part describes the activities of the regiment until 1980, and the introductory words clearly indicate that, especially in the first half of the seventies, the life of the regiment was marked by standardization. However, the main topic is the activities, training and equipment of the 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment from 1971 to 1980
